The Build America, Buy America Act (BABAA) establishes domestic sourcing requirements for certain infrastructure projects receiving federal financial assistance. The purpose of the legislation is to promote the use of American-made materials, products, and manufacturing processes on federally funded projects.
A frameless mirror may qualify for BABAA compliance when the materials and manufacturing processes satisfy the requirements established for the specific project and funding agency.
A project requires a 24" × 36" frameless mirror for a federally funded facility. If the glass is produced in the United States and all fabrication processes are completed domestically, the mirror may qualify as a U.S.-manufactured product, subject to the project specifications and funding agency requirements.
